This statement covers riviot.com: how it is built to be accessible, the limits we know about, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
Our commitment.
We want everyone to be able to use riviot.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
How the site is built.
- A "skip to content" link on every page, landmarks for the header, main content and footer, and one main heading per page with headings in order.
- Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard, and shows a clear focus outline.
- Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratios, and body text is at least 16 pixels.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text, not by color alone.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Drawings and charts, such as the scorecard's radar, have a text equivalent.
- Pages work from 390 pixels wide and when zoomed, without scrolling sideways.
- Motion follows your device's "reduce motion" setting.
Motion and the scroll experiences.
Some pages have full-screen scroll experiences, where line drawings appear over video of a data center as you scroll. They are built to stay usable for everyone.
- With "reduce motion" switched on, nothing is pinned or animated. You see the finished drawing as a still image, and video stays on its first frame.
- Each experience has a static image to fall back on if video or scripts do not load, and the same information is given in the text around it.
- Videos have no sound. They play only while they are on screen.
Compliance status.
We believe the site partly conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA. It has not yet been audited by an independent tester. We will publish the result of that audit here, with any problems it finds and when we will fix them.
Known limits.
These are the problems we know about and what we are doing about them.
- Looping background video. Some panels play a short silent video on a loop with no pause button. It stops when it scrolls out of view, and does not play at all with "reduce motion" on. We plan to add a pause control.
- Interactive tools. The calculators and the scoping tool update their results as you type. Results are announced to screen readers, but some charts that show a range are visual first.
- Forms. The forms on this site are not yet connected. When you send one, a message explains that it has not been submitted.
- Other services. Vio and the client platform are separate products. This statement covers riviot.com only.
Report a problem.
If something on the site does not work for you, or you need information in another format, write to us through our contact page and say that your message is about accessibility. Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within five working days. If we cannot fix the problem quickly, we will tell you when we will, and give you the information another way in the meantime.
If you are not happy with our response.
Please contact us first so we can put it right. In the UK, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can advise you about your rights under the Equality Act 2010. In Ireland, you can contact the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission. In the United States, you can contact the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice about the Americans with Disabilities Act.
About this statement.
This statement was prepared on October 29, 2026, from our own checks while building the site. We will review it after the independent audit, and at least once a year.
This page is a placeholder before launch. The live version is written for both the UK and the US, names the data controller and legal entities, and is reviewed by a lawyer before publication.
The site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA. Every interactive element has a visible focus state, motion respects the reduced motion setting, and body text never drops below 16px.
